Hi, my name is Bryndis Ragna and I am a mother to three teenagers, a 19 years old girl, a 17 year old boy and a 15 year old boy. I was born and raised in Iceland, moved to Los Angeles when I was 19 and earned my business degree from American InterContinental University. Five years later I moved back to Iceland and had several different jobs for the next 12 years; Export Manager and Director for the Domestic Sales- and Marketing department for one of the biggest meat companies in Iceland, Divisional Manager in a fitness center, Brand Manager in a candy factory (yes, believe it or not) and an owner at Basic ehf., a marketing consultancy company and a publisher of a magazine called Basic.
I moved with my family to Denmark in the fall of 2005, started a three year nutritional therapy study in 2007 at The Center for Nutrition and Therapy in Copenhagen and alongside of that study, I took a two years study in anatomy, physiology and pathology at The School for Alternative Therapy (www.samhita.dk). For the next two and a half years, I worked as a Nutritional Therapist for ITK2. The purpose of the company is to help people that are struggling with lifestyle diseases to find their balance again. In 2010, I took a degree in Iris diagnosis, a tool that helps me to “see” inside people bodies, and that has lead me to find root causes for peoples symptoms, along with a solution for allergies I had been struggling with for years. I am a mindfulness coach and have degree in ear acupuncture as well as cupping. Today I have two companies, Your Body Knows, where I offer individual advises, hold lectures and courses both in Denmark and Iceland, publish magazine, offer Iris diagnosis to individuals and sell health products to individuals and Nordic Health Company, where I sell health products to other businesses, as health food stores.
As I am a working mother of three, I know how challenging it can be to raise healthy happy kids, keeping a home, holding a job and be healthy and in balance myself at the same time. I have had my own challenges and been searching for answers for almost 30 years. I want to share with you, something that I wish I had myself when I started my journey, a website filled with healthy, delicious, fast and easy advises and recipes that work. My purpose is to help you to find balance in your life and learn how to listen to your body, by making very simple changes in your lifestyles – one step at a time.
I don´t have any doubt at all that our body knows how to find its balance, we just need to learn how to listen to it and act by changing our current lifestyle. When we deal with the things that are affecting our life’s in a negative way, we help the body to activate its healing power and find its balance again.
