Seeds, like flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds and sesame seeds, can easily be added to your meals, salads, smoothies or even eaten as a snack. You can also make a delicious „candy“ with seeds and pastes like tahini or butters. Seeds are a great natural source of mostly all nutrients the body requires and each seed has its own specialty.
I like to add seeds to my salads and smoothies and my kids love to eat them as a snack. Specially if I have marinated them and dehydrated.
Here is a recipe that can be enjoyed as a drizzle over your meals and salads or as a good tasting snack. Who needs potato chips, when you have marinated seeds.
- 1 dl sunflower seeds
- 1 dl pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbsp liquid amino from Bragg (or tamari sauce / soya sauce)
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Freshly grounded pepper
- Tiny bit of sea salt or Himalayan salt
Mix the seeds and other ingredients together in a bowl. Put everything on a baking sheet (or dehydrating sheet if you have a dehydrator) and bake for approximately 10 minutes (or an hour in a dehydrator) in a 160 degree warm oven.
That’s all folks! Easy Peasy ❤
