This morning delight is filled with vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, fibers and everything your body can dream of. It is so simple to make and so filling. A perfect start of a good day.
This is what you need:
- ¾ dl flax seeds, chia seed or combo of both
- ¼ dl sesame seeds
- ¼ dl pumpkin seeds
- ¼ dl sunflower seeds
- ½ dl raisins
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- A touch of sea salt
- 2 dl water
Mix everything together in an air tide container, just before you go to sleep. Keep in the refrigerator over night and have a delicious pudding ready when you wake up. Eat until you feel satisfied and keep the rest for the next morning. If you like a warm pudding, just add some warm water to your portion.
Serve it with some almond milk (or any other nut or seed milk), and fresh fruits and berries. I love to use banana and some berries – a perfect mixture of sweet and sour. A good riped mango is also good. Coconut flakes and drizzle of nuts on the top, gives your morning an extra twist.
Instead of using cinnamon in the pudding, you can use vanilla, syrups, nutmeg or other sweets or spices that fits your taste.
You do not have to use all those seeds in the same pudding, but if you want the real pudding texture, you will have to use flax seeds or chia seeds, due to its soluble fibers that make the gel-forming action – and a great source of healthy omega-3 fatty acid too.
Enjoy!
