I love this combination, the fresh taste of the apple with a delicious Banana, Peanut Butter, Almond Dip. Not only is it filling and a healthy bite to have, but also filled with nutrients that our body needs; vitamins, minerals, fibers, protein and fatty acids. It is easy to make and a perfect snack for the kids when they come hungry home from school.
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp peanut butter with top
- 1 tablespoon almond butter (optional)
Mix everything together in a food processor or a blender.
I drizzle a little cinnamon on the top of the apple, both because of the warm sweet taste it has, but also because of its health benefits. Cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar, reduces LDL cholesterol levels, reduces arthritis pain, is a natural food preservative and contains calcium, iron, manganese and fiber.
I use both peanut butter and almond butter in this recipe, but banana, peanut butter blend is also terrific. And if you do not have the time to mix things together, just get a slice of an apple with some peanut butter on it, straight from the jar.
Enjoy!
