What is your favorite color?
I LOVE my morning smoothies. The fresh taste, the beautiful colors and the clean healthy feeling it gives me, is the best start of a good day.
Here are some very easy and simple recipes, that include ingredients you might have at home right at this moment. I challenge you to try for a week and feel the difference.
THE RED RUSH

- 1 cup frozen strawberries (ca. 12 – 15 strawberries)
- Appr. 1 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
Blend together in a blender. On a Saturday morning indulge with a ½ teaspoon of fresh vanilla or cinnamon
THE YELLOW YOUTH
- 2 ripe bananas
- ½ a pineapple or 1 mango (fresh or frozen)
- Appr. 1 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
Blend together in a blender. On a Sunday morning indulge with a bit of a lemon zest.
THE GREEN GODDESS
- 2 ripe bananas
- A handful of spinach
- 1 cup frozen pineapple or mango
- Appr. 1,5 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
Blend together in a blender. On a day off indulge with a lemon zest and a small piece of fresh ginger.
THE BLUE BLOOD (kind a royal)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 fresh mango
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- Appr. 1 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
Blend together in a blender. On a good day spoil yourself with a little lemon zest, ginger and flaxseeds.
You can certainly play with these recipes and instead of using water, you could use:
Coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk or freshly squeezed orange juice
Instead of using spinach use:
- Kale, dandelion, rucola or romaine
Instead of using banana use:
- Ripe mango, ripe pineapple, grapes, pears or peach.
And here are other things you might want to try adding in your smoothies :
- Oranges, avocado, passion fruit, lime, lemon or apples.
- Basil, mint or coriander.
- Hemp seeds, chia seeds, acai powder, maca powder, lucuma powder or any green powder.
- Cacao, coconut oil, almond butter or peanut butter.
Enjoy!
